Interac Corp. is thrilled to announce that Sophie Forest, Managing Partner of Brightspark Ventures, has joined its Board of Directors as an Independent Director.
Sophie brings over 25 years of experience in the entrepreneurial and Canadian Venture Capital space, where she has led and overseen more than 50 investments in technology companies in Canada and across the globe.
As Managing Partner of Brightspark, Sophie has been involved in a number of successful Venture Capital backed companies and most notably played a critical role in the investment, growth, and exit of Radian6, the world’s leading social media monitoring, analysis, and engagement platform.
In addition to Interac, Sophie also sits on the Board of Directors for a number of organizations, including Centech, the accelerator, and incubator associated with Ecole de Technologie Supérieure. She is also an investor and Board member for several leading Canadian companies such as Hopper, Jewlr, and Classcraft.
Sophie’s addition to the Interac Board comes at a time when Canada is seeing an accelerated shift towards a digital future. Her breadth of experience accelerating the growth of technology start-ups will be critical as Interac continues to develop new, innovative solutions for Canadians.
