We did it, we\u2019re proud of it, and we\u2019re a game-changer in payments because of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why we try to give our employees credit for their groundbreaking work. Whether they\u2019re humble-bragging about their achievements on industry panels or being the people everyone wants to talk to at networking nights, we set them up with opportunities to shine in their industry. In other words, we take the \u201cleader\u201d part of thought leader very, very seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-re-shaping-the-future-of-the-digital-economy-right-now\">We&#8217;re shaping the future of the digital economy&#8230;right now<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether we\u2019re <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/ideas\/faster-payments-a-global-trend-interac-and-payments-canada-on-the-opportunities-of-the-real-time-rail-rtr\/\">accelerating faster payments in Canada<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/news\/interac-enables-secure-digital-transactions-with-the-launch-of-interac-verified\/\">enabling secure digital interactions<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/ideas\/moving-open-banking-forward-through-collaboration\/\">collaborating to understand the opportunities for open banking in Canada<\/a>, bringing leaders together to make life better for Canadians is what Interac <em>does<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-workplace-culture-rewards-hard-work\">Our workplace culture rewards hard work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Our employees give their all on every Interac project, so our culture works with them, not against them. We\u2019re more interested in computer code than dress code, and we know that building great products means building a proper work-life balance. That\u2019s why we reward our staff\u2019s hard work with reduced summer hours, dedicated quiet hours and other flexible working options. Whether it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/inside-interac\/giving-back-to-our-employees-and-local-businesses-this-holiday-season\/\">giving back to our employees (and small businesses) during the holidays<\/a>, hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/inside-interac\/interac-puts-mental-health-first-during-employee-appreciation-summer\/\">Employee Appreciation Summer<\/a>, or one of our other virtual events, we make a point of celebrating our staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-give-more-than-a-free-lunch\">We give more than a free lunch<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>But our employee rewards don\u2019t stop at the occasional party. That\u2019s why we offer a competitive bonus structure formed around Pay for Performance, as why we also make RRSP contributions on behalf of our employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also know that there are other ways to look after our staff. We invested more than $750,000 in <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/about\/our-company\/community-impact\/\">our community partners<\/a> in 2022 to build financial and digital confidence for Canadians, champion diversity and inclusion and support small businesses. Plus, the Interac team raised over $105,000 for Canadian charities last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are committed to building solutions and partnerships that help small business owners from diverse backgrounds power their business with confidence. In 2023, we\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.interac.ca\/content\/news\/square-interac-and-calgary-sports-andentertainment-corporation-announceprogram-to-help-boost-local-businesses\/\">collaborated with other Canadian organizations<\/a>&nbsp;to boost visibility of small businesses within our communities and encourage Canadians to shop local.
